PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that more effectively reduces power consumption by turning off an eyepiece detection function, while a user visually observes and operates a liquid crystal display part.SOLUTION: There is provided a camera that comprises a liquid crystal display, such as a liquid crystal display part including line of sight detection means and can determines that a user visually observes the liquid crystal display part, the camera turning off an eyepiece detection function when detecting that the user visually observes the liquid crystal display part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
