Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of explicitly showing a photographer the range of a field angle which permits a subject to be detected (an automatic zoom function not released) when a target size of the subject is changed during automatic zooming.SOLUTION: The range of a field angle which permits a subject to be accurately detected is stored in a memory and on the basis of the stored information and positional information of a zoom lens acquired from zoom lens position detection means, a changeable range of a target field angle is calculated by control means and is superposed over an image signal through detection frame setting means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
