Abstract:
To obtain a suitable visible state in the case of using an imaging device in a state in which a display part faces upward in a finder unit configured so as to be attachable/detachable to and from the display part.SOLUTION: An imaging device has: a rotation mechanism provided to couple an imaging device with a display part; and a direct-viewing-type finder unit configured so as to be attachable/detachable to and from the display part. The display part is provided so as to be rotatable between a first position where the display part is housed in the imaging device and a second position where the display part operates by the rotation mechanism, and the finder unit is configured of: a first mirror for bending a light flux emitted from the display part; and a second mirror for further bending it. The imaging device has: first detection means for detecting whether or not the finder unit has been mounted on the display part; second detection means for detecting whether or not the second mirror has been saved from the light flux; and third detection means for detecting whether or not the display part to which the direct-viewing-type finder unit is fixed is present at the second position, and a direction of display of a video to be displayed by the display part is switched in accordance with a detection state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
