Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a relative position of an object to be imaged with high accuracy even when an attached imaging means is shifted a little by providing the imaging means, a shift quantity detecting means and a correcting means.
SOLUTION: A CCD camera 2 images a prescribed region. A shift quantity calculating means 4 detects a quantity of shift between a position of a dissipation point predetermined in the prescribed region and a position of a dissipation point detected from the imaged data of the CCD camera 2. Correction of a position coordinate is prohibited in accordance with a running condition. A correction section 6 corrects a position coordinate of the dissipation point on the basis of the shift quantity detected by the shift quantity calculating means 4. A running condition detecting section 8 detects a running condition of a vehicle on which the CCD camera 2 is loaded. By the operations of the above sections, the shift quantity of the position coordinate of the dissipation point included in the imaged data by executing the learning, then shift correction of the CCD camera 2 is executed. Thus, it is possible to readily correct the shift of the CCD camera 2 by utilizing the dissipation point as a position of a reference point for executing the position correction.
