Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus which displays the preview of an object with a proper display mode in which the imaging condition is taken into account.
The imaging apparatus comprises an all pixel mode (step S2) and a pixel mixed mode (step S12). In the all pixel mode, each of all pixels is read out independently. In the pixel mixed mode, signal charge for two pixels out of contiguous pixels of a same color is mixed to one pixel in horizontal direction, and signal charge of one pixel is read out for two pixels in vertical direction. Drive of an imaging device is switched between the two modes based on an exposure time (steps S10 and S20).
