PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality image with suppressed noise in imaging using an image pickup device of a global shutter system.SOLUTION: In a digital camera comprising the image pickup device of a global shutter system, when an exposure time Ta obtained by exposure arithmetic processing is shorter than an allowable shortest exposure time Tx obtained from a parasitic sensitivity for a desired SN ratio, an exposure time is changed to the allowable shortest exposure time Tx to satisfy the SN ratio and a diaphragm value F is changed so as to satisfy an exposure condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
