Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the image quality of high resolution in case of an image reception paper of high smoothness and to obtain a satisfactory image quality free from drop-out of dots in case of an image reception paper of low smoothness by switching the printing time of one line in accordance with the degree of smoothness of the image reception paper. CONSTITUTION:A data processing part 4 for printing processes data by the signal outputted from a selector 5 and the processing speed determines the printing time of one line. In case of the image reception paper of high smoothness, the output of an oscillator 7 is outputted from the selector 5 by an external switch 9 to print two lines of data in one field period. In case of the image reception paper of low smoothness, the output signal of the oscillator 7 has the frequency divided by 1/2 and the obtained signal is outputted from the selector 5 by the switch 9 to print one line of data in the printing time which is twice as long as the printing time which is required for printing of one line at the time of printing two lines in one field period. Thus, a satisfactory image quality is obtained whether the degree of smoothness of the image reception paper is high or low.
