Abstract:
To increase a time from the transfer of charges to the reading of pixel signals as the number of pixels increase, and increase or decrease the charges to easily add noise to the pixel signals.SOLUTION: An imaging element includes a plurality of imaging units in which a plurality of unit blocks in which multiple pixels are arranged in a matrix are arranged in a matrix, at least one A/D conversion unit provided for each of the unit blocks, and converting a pixel signal from a pixel included in the corresponding unit block into a digital signal, and a reading unit that sequentially reads digital signals of pixels included in the imaging unit across the plurality of unit blocks.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
