To obtain an imaging lens free from a bright ghost caused by a light source outside the angle of view.
The imaging lens comprises: a first lens group I disposed on the object side of an aperture stop S; a second lens group II disposed on the image side of the aperture stop S and having positive power; and the aperture stop S. As for the first group I, in order from an object side, a first F lens group 1F and a first R lens group 1R of positive power are arranged at a space interval which is widest in the first lens group I. As for the first F lens group 1F, a first negative lens L1 having a concave surface on the image side is arranged on the object side and a second negative lens L2 having a convex surface in a meniscus shape on the object side is arranged on the image side, and A_1F-1R representing the space interval of the first F lens group 1F and the first R lens group 1R, D_1 representing the entire length of the first lens group I, f1_1 representing the focal distance of the first negative lens L1, and f1_2 representing the focal distance of the second negative lens L2 satisfy conditions (1) and (2).
