To provide an imaging method which can produce printed matter showing excellent character quality and gloss, with capabiliy to record a high-definition image, and printed matter and an image recording device.
In this imaging method, an inkjet recording head with a partition formed of an actuator which deformably operates in response to applied voltage, and a drive signal generating means which makes the actuator deformingly operate to generate a drive signal with a specified pause time set between an expansion pulse and a contraction pulse of an ink chamber are provided. Thus inkjet ink which is curable by an active light is discharged onto a recording material, using the inkjet recording head which discharges an ink droplet by expanding and contracting the ink chamber upon the drive signal, and has the pause time set to a crosstalk dwindling time. The inkjet ink contains at least a coloring material, water and a polymer compound which has a plurality of side chains in a hydrophilic main chain, and further, can become crosslinked between the side chains by irradiating with active energy beams.
