To provide an imaging method and a program with which an image is easily obtained without fail by imaging while projecting flash light and by slow-synchro imaging such as front-curtain synchronous imaging or rear-curtain synchronous imaging.
The imaging method includes: an imaging step in which an imaging unit that exposes a subject makes exposure of a prescribed exposure time period; a light emission step in which a light emission unit that projects light to the subject emits light with a prescribed light volume; an image recording step in which recording image data are prepared according to an obtained image signal and a recording unit records the recording image data; and an image display step in which display image data are prepared according to the obtained image signal and a display unit displays the display image data. The imaging step is executed in response to one time imaging start instruction from an imaging instruction unit, and a first synchronous imaging step of executing a light emission step during an exposure period before ending the exposure and a second synchronous imaging step of executing a light emission step during an exposure period immediately after start of the exposure are consecutively implemented.
