To provide an image capturing support device that simply notifies a user of a lacking image capturing location in a target object without obtaining the image capturing position and the image capturing direction of the image capturing device with respect to the target object and without information of an observation plane of the target object in advance when a multi-viewpoint image used for reconstruction of a three-dimensional shape model of the target object is imaged.SOLUTION: An image capturing support device according to the present invention that supports capturing of a multi-viewpoint image used to restore a three-dimensional shape model of a target object includes a feature point extraction unit that extracts feature points in captured image data that is image data of a target object captured immediately before, and preview image data, a matching processing unit that detects a first corresponding point of each feature point of the captured image data and the preview image data, and a support information notification unit that displays a preview image in which the first corresponding points are superimposed, and notifies the support information as to whether the position should be imaged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
