Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive imaging system.SOLUTION: The imaging system comprises: an imaging unit for acquiring a distance image and having a first imaging area of a prescribed field angle; a stage, holding the imaging unit, for rotating and moving the imaging unit stepwise to a plurality of positions so as to change the oriented direction of the first imaging area; a first detection unit for detecting the position of a user in the first imaging area on the basis of the distance image; a second detection unit for detecting the degree of change in time of the user's position in the direction of rotation of the stage on the basis of the history of positions detected by a position detection unit; a determination unit for determining whether or not the user exists in a second imaging area whose angle is narrower than the field angle in the direction of rotation of the stage; a rotation control unit for rotating and moving the stage in the direction of movement of the user when it is determined by the determination unit that the user does not exist in the second imaging area; and an angle control unit for narrowing the angle of the second imaging area progressively in correspondence to an increase in the degree of change in time and expanding the angle of the second imaging area progressively in correspondence to a decrease in the degree of change in time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
