To provide an imaging system which can correlate photographed images with position information in photographing, in a simple system structure.

The imaging system decides whether a release SW is operated at S11; and if it is being operated, the system conducts AF control in S12, and captures an image (photographs) in S13. Furthermore, the imaging system obtains time information T upon photographing in S14, decides whether radio wave information has already been obtained in S15, and records the time information T and positional information P, together with image data in S16 if obtained. A digital camera performs only the steps of acquiring and recording the positional information and time information, and an external personal computer calculates the positional information and correlates the image with a geographic name or a map.
