To create a novel added value by providing a GPS to each imaging portable device and causing the portable apparatuses to perform cooperative operations therebetween, and to reduce power consumption in the case of sharing information between the portable devices, by acquiring GPS data by each portable device.

An imaging system comprises a master set and a slave set capable of wireless communication therebetween, the master set and slave set each comprising means to acquire positional information. Furthermore, the master set comprises imaging means for imaging a subject, and the slave set is imaged as a subject by the master set. The imaging system like this comprises: means for calculating a relative distance between the master set and slave set from positional information acquired by both of the sets; and means for controlling imaging conditions of the master set on the basis of the calculated relative distance.
