Abstract:
To provide a system used in a patient for creating an image of a biological structure of the patient.SOLUTION: There is provided an imaging system used in a patient. The system includes an imaging probe, a rotary assembly, and a storage assembly. The imaging probe includes an extension shaft including a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen between the proximal end and the distal end, which collects image data from the position of a patient. A rotatable optical core is disposed in the lumen of the extension shaft, and an optical assembly is disposed at a distal part of the extension shaft. The optical assembly projects light onto a tissue at the position of the patient, and collects the light reflected from the tissue. The rotary assembly is connected to the imaging probe, and rotates the optical assembly. The storage assembly is connected to the imaging probe, and stores the optical assembly and the extension shaft simultaneously.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
