Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve focus detection accuracy by reducing influences of false color and false solution of signals outputted from plural sub pixels constituting each pixel.SOLUTION: An imaging unit comprises: an image pickup device which has plural pixels comprising plural photoelectric conversion parts aligned in a predetermined direction and capable of reading signals subjected to pupil division, for each of plural microlenses; and an optical low-pass filter arranged on the front surface of the image pickup device. The optical low-pass filter is composed of a sheet of birefringent plates and separates a beam in the arranging direction of the photoelectric conversion parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
