The imaging unit packing body has a packing box 50 containing an imaging unit A formed of a photoreceptor unit 10 with a photo conductor 11 and an image developing unit 20 with a developing device 21 which is mounted on the photoreceptor unit. The packing body is provided with a holding member 33 for holding the imaging unit in a lifted condition on both sides of the imaging unit, and a tubular reinforcing member 40 covering the periphery of the imaging unit with a necessary gap between the unit and the reinforcing member. First cushioning members 41 are provided between the developing unit mounted of the imaging unit and the reinforcing member and a second cushioning member 42 between the reinforcing member and the packing box.
