Title:
IMBALANCE SENSING DEVICE FOR WASHING MACHINE AND ITS METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3193025
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more properly judge and sense an imbalance a mass of a washing machine in response to an input voltage variation at the time of an unbalance sensing using a current ripple width of a current sensor.
SOLUTION: This imbalance sensing method comprises a motor speed increasing stage S2 wherein the speed of a motor is increased to a specified rpm, an input voltage sensing type S3 wherein a variation of an AC input voltage is sensed by an input voltage sensing means, an input current sensing stage S4 wherein the ripple current of an AC input current is sensed by an input current sensing means, a current ripple width judging stage S5 wherein a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the ripple current sensed in the input current sensing stage is obtained, and whether the current ripple width is not less than a specified value or not is judged, an unbalance mass calculating stage S6 wherein an unbalance mass is calculated in response to the input voltage value sensed in the input voltage sensing stage, and a dehydrating process stage S7 wherein a dehydrating process is performed by controlling the speed of the motor in response to the unbalance mass calculated in the unbalance mass calculating stage.
