Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion lens for a microscope, which is capable of assuring a large numerical aperture, preventing the elution of metal into solution and influence of electrical noise and further simplifying a manipulation operation and handling. SOLUTION: The immersion lens for the microscope, used by filling a solution 12 between itself and a sample 13 has a lens frame 3 which has a tapered shape section 3a as to have the diameter smaller toward the front mounted on a lens group body 1a and has a lens fitting section 3b and a lens-abutting surface 3c at the front end of the tapered shape section 3a and a lens 6, which is held by the lens fitting section 3b and the lens abutting surface 3c and is provided with a cover member 9 consisting of an insulation material so as cover the circumference of the tapered shape section 3a of the lens frame 3 and the lens 6. A silicone-base adhesive 10 is filled in between the cover member 3 and the lens 6.
