PURPOSE: To enable the immersion nozzle excellent in strength to control a flow rate the same as that of the ordinary one set of sliding plate and to enable it to supply a large quantity of molten metal per unit time into a mold uniformly over the wide width of the mold at the time of continuously casting at high speed.
CONSTITUTION: This immersion nozzle is formed of a molten metal inflow part 1 and a molten metal outflow guide part 2 arranged successively to the inflow part 1. The molten metal inflow part 1 is constituted of two cylindrical bodies 1a arranged at a prescribed interval and a connecting part 1b for connecting these cylindrical bodies 1a. The molten metal outflow guide part 2 is formed of a confluence hole part 2a communicated with hole parts 1aa of two cylindrical bodies 1a and a communicating hole part 2c for connecting the confluence hole part 2a to an outflow hole 2b opened at the lower part.
