Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily backwash a suspension by a screen of a plate-shaped filter cylinder to prevent the clogging due to the suspension, to continuously use the pleat-shaped filter cylinder for a long period of time to improve the filtering treatment efficiency of the suspension, and to reduce the filtering treatment cost of the suspension.
CONSTITUTION: In a filter in which a filter cylinder is immersed in a liquid contg. a suspension to perform suction filtration, a pleat-shaped screen 1 is rolled up in the form of a cylinder to form a plate-shaped filter cylinder 5, and the pleat-shape filter cylinder 5 is installed in an original liquid tank 7, and also an air jetting pipe 15 is arranged adjacent to the inner surface of the screen 1 in the filter cylinder 5. The bottom part of the filter cylinder 5 is separated from the original liquid tank 7, and also the opening of the bottom part of the filter cylinder 5 and the bottom part of an air vent tank 9 are made to communicate with each other, and further the upper part of the air vent tank 9 and that of a treating liquid tank 18 are made to communicate with each other. A suction cylinder 20 connected to a suction means such as a pump 19 is installed in the treating liquid tank 18. During the suspension is filtered by the filter cylinder 5, pressurized air is jetted from an air jetting pipe 15 intermittently for a short time, causing the suspension on the outer surface of the screen 1 of the filter cylinder 5 to be backwashed.
