To provide an immersion tube for a degassing apparatus in which deformation of a core metal and damage of a refractory for covering the core metal are suppressed and long service life can be stably achieved till the end stage of the service life.
In the immersion tube 10 for the degassing apparatus, in which an inner peripheral side refractory 12 and an outer peripheral side refractory 13 are provided to the inner peripheral side and the outer peripheral side of the cylindrical core metal 11 respectively, heat insulating materials 16 are provided to one of or both of a part between the inner peripheral side refractory 12 and the core metal 11, and a part between the outer peripheral side refractory 13 and the core metal 11, and since the immersion tube 10 includes supply headers 17, 18 for blowing Ar gas toward the heat insulating materials 16, long service life of the immersion tube 10 can be stably achieved till the end stage of the service life.
