PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an improved measuring probe which can be handled very easily and safely and the handling of which can be automated easily.
SOLUTION: A measuring probe used for measurement in liquid, particularly, in a molten metal, is provided with a carrier tube 1, a measuring head 3 attached to one end of the tube 1, and a signal cable 2 housing measuring elements arranged in the head 3 and a signal line for measuring signals generated from the measuring elements. The signal line is made longer than the tube 1 and extended from the end of the head 3 facing the inside of the tube 1. In order to improve the handleability of the probe, the signal line is guided through the tube 1 in such a way that the line is wound around the longitudinal axial line of the tube 1.
