PURPOSE: To produce an immuno-globulin E(IgE) production promoting composition and a serum having high IgE content using the IgE production promoting composition.
CONSTITUTION: This IgE production promoting composition contains a lower molecular compound selected from sodium lactate, sodium 2- hydroxyazonaphthalene-3,4',6-trisulfonate, 6-hydroxy-5-(2-methoxy-5-methyl-4- sulfonatephenylazo)naphthalene-2-sulfonic acid, 2',4',5',7'-tetrabromo-3,4,5,6- tetrachlorofluoreseine disodium, 3,6-(diethylamino)xanthirium-9-(2,4- benzenedisulfonic acid)sodium, titanium dioxide, chlorophylline iron sodium, etc. The IgE production promoting composition is administered to an experimental animal to produce IgE and separate and a serum having high IgE content is separated and recovered.
