PURPOSE: To determine a trace of substance with good reproducibility and high sensibility by a relatively small amount of active particles, by a relatively small amount of active particles, by using immunologically activated particles (active particle), which bind an antibody or antigen together with immunologically inactive particles.
CONSTITUTION: In the immunologic measuring method, that determines the trace of substance with immunologic activity in the sample to be measured by using immunologically activated solid particles by binding an antibody, an antigen or a hapten chemically or physically and utilizing aggultination reaction or aggultination inhibiting reaction, it is characterized that said aggultination reaction or aggutination inhibiting reaction is carried out in the presence of immunologically inactive particles. According to this method, the aggultinating image in the aggultination reaction becomes clear and sharp, and a required amount of active particles can be diminished. When the aggultination inhibiting reaction is applied, a very small amount of biological substance becomes detectable, which is not achieved by an ordinary method.
