To extract the immunoreaction of antibodies in a solution to be measured as electric response with sensitivity, accuracy, simplicity, and speediness by detecting lipid-soluble ion-conductive labels.
This immunological electrode sensor comprises soluble labelled antigens 19, insoluble antibodies 15 corresponding to the labelled antigens, a pair of electrodes 20 and 21, and a lipid monomolecular film 23 formed on the surface of the electrode 21. The labelled antigens 19 are brought into contact with the antibodies 11 in the solution to be measured 12 to generate an antibody- labelled-antigen complex 18. Unreacted labelled antigens 25 are combined with the insoluble antibodies 15 and removed. The antibody-labelled-antigen complex 18 is adsorbed by the lipid monomolecular film 23. The antibodies in the solution to be measured 12 are detected by the immunological electrode sensor from the amount of change in the electric conductivity of the lipid monomolecular film 23. By the immunological electrode sensor, it is possible to extract the immunoreaction of the antibodies in the solution to be measured as electric response with sensitivity, accuracy, simplicity, and speediness.
