Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simply determine an immune substance qualitatively or quantitatively with a fluorescent immuno-assey and/or light emitting immuno-assey through the absorptive measuring of an immune complex body.
CONSTITUTION: At least one of the surfaces of an total reflection cell 2 is formed as an total reflection prisim 4. A mixture liquid 8 containing a gold colloid marker antibody 6 formed by adsorbing antibody to a gold colloid is put in the total reflection cell 2, and thereto a mixture liquid as specimen 12 is added which contains an antigen 10 to make antigen-antibody reaction with the antibody, and thereby a gold colloid marker immune complex 14 is produced. From an incident optical system 16, the measuring light is put incident at an incident angle which generates a total reflection to the total reflection prism 4, and the emissive light therefrom is received by a measuring optical system 18, and thereby absorption by the complex 14 is measured to serve for qualitative and quantitative determination of the antigen 10 contained in the specimen liquid 12.
