Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the stabilization and storage by laminating and covering an immunologically active material and a component participant in immunological reaction on a carrier under the coexistence of a protecting component followed by dehydration and drying.
SOLUTION: An antibody, an antigen or lectin are, for example, immobilized on the surface of a carrier such as a magnetic particle followed by blocking, and dipped in a protecting solution mainly composed of gelatin. The excessive protecting solution is removed, and the carrier covered with the single layer is centrifugally moved by supplying dry air by use of a granulating machine, and dehydrated and dried. Further, coats of an active component necessary for immunological reaction such as an enzyme labeled antibody dissolved in a protecting solution mainly containing gelatin, and a component participant in immunological reaction such as inorganic salt are successively applied in multilayer on the carrier by spray, and hydrated and dried. Thus, a reagent can be manufactured in large quantities in a short time, and stably stored for a long period without requiring freezing.
