Abstract:
To provide methods of treatment involving immunotherapy, and administration of a tryptophan metabolism and/or kynurenine pathway modulator.SOLUTION: A method of treatment, comprises the steps of: (a) administering a T cell therapy to a subject having a disease or condition, which may be cancer; and (b) administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a tryptophan metabolism and/or kynurenine pathway modulator, where the administration of the tryptophan metabolism and/or kynurenine pathway modulator is started at a time point greater than 1 day prior to the initiation of administration of the T cell therapy and/or the stage of administration of the T cell therapy. Some embodiments include a combination therapy that involves administration of engineered T cells, such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-expressing cells, and a tryptophan metabolism and/or kynurenine pathway modulator, such as an inhibitor of an enzyme.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
