Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing mechanism that absorbs an impact between a driving part and a driven part to suppress a load to the driving part, the impact being applied by the tension of an inner cable, and can prevent an elastic seal member from breaking.SOLUTION: An impact absorbing mechanism 1 comprises: a casing cap 4; a casing cap connecting member 5 having a housing portion 51 in which a driven part side end portion 41 of the casing cap 4 is loosely fitted and housed movably in the axial direction; and an elastic seal member 6 accommodated in the housing portion 51. The elastic seal member 6 is provided with a main body portion 62 a driven side end surface 62a of which is compressed by the movement of the casing cap 4 toward the axial driven part side, and a seal portion 63 extending from the body part 62 to the driven part side. The impact absorbing mechanism has a gap to mitigate the compression of the seal portion 63 when the elastic seal member 6 is compressed by the movement of the casing cap 4 to the axial driven part side.
