To provide an impact absorbing pedal, capable of properly absorbing impact energy inputted to a foot of an occupant even where the seated position or the size of physique is varied.
An accelerator pedal 3 is provided around a foot place for the occupant in a vehicle room to rotate forward and rearward of the vehicle around a rotation shaft 9. A resistance means 19 is provided to provide the rotation shaft 9 of the accelerator pedal 3 with resistance to a collision load from the forward side of the vehicle. Rotation of the accelerator pedal 3 rearward due to the collision load is thus stopped at a prescribed position by the resistance means 19 in this impact absorbing pedal. Resistance for the rotation shaft 9 by the resistance means 19 is regulated in accordance with the seated position of the occupant.
