Abstract:

To provide an impact-absorbing rope which is excellent in a mechanical strength and in an impact-absorbing property, while having a light weight, to provide a method for producing the impact-absorbing rope, and to provide a protector.

There is provided the impact-absorbing rope 10 prepared by twisting polytrimethylene terephthalate fibers 1, and having a diameter of 10 to 40 mm, wherein the polytrimethylene terephthalate fibers 1 have an elongation of 30 to 100%, a toughness of 90 to 400%*cN/dtex, and a boiling water shrinkage factor of 5 to 14%.
