Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3963096
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve impact absorbing characteristics at a joint part between a roof-head lining and a roof-side inner garnish.
SOLUTION: On the back face of the roof-side inner garnish 32, a plurality of ribs 34 are formed in almost parallel along the up and down direction with a predetermined interval in the vehicle front and rear direction, and an inner end 34C of the rib 34 in the car width direction is almost perpendicular against a lower part of a vertical wall part 16D of a roof-side inner panel 16. An outer edge of the roof-head lining 20 in the car width direction is bent along the inner end 34C of the rib 34 to become a bent part 20A, and the bent part 20A is opposed with the inner end 34C of the rib 34 in the car width direction. Also, the tip end of the bent part 20A is brought into contact with the vertical wall part 16D of the roof-side inner panel 16.
