Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an impact detecting device which is used as an impact detecting switch for a vehicle and can surely work against impact forces from all directions in front of the vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: An impact detecting device is provided with a fixed member 12 mounted with an MR element 11, mobile member 14 which is faced to the element 11 and mounted with a permanent magnet 13, elastic member 17 which is coupled with the member 14 and mounted with a permanent magnet 18 at the end section, and a plurality of MR-E elements 19 radially arranged around the magnet 18. A control circuit generates a detecting pulse by combining the resistance value of the element 11 and pulse outputs of the elements 19.
