Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of efficiently absorbing impact energy from all directions and having high void, excellent deformability and continuous pseudo hollow metal balls of high strength, and a laminated structure thereof or the like.
SOLUTION: A metal tube material is subjected to hydraulic deformation inside a special shaped mold, as a result, a linear component having the continuous pseudo hollow metal balls is formed. The component is optimally arranged in a plane and it is optimally laminated, as a result, an impact energy absorbing body having remarkably high strength and high impact energy absorbing ability, and a manufacturing method therefor are provided.
