To provide an impact pin holder for an ultrasonic impact damper which can effectively cool an impact pin and a holder while controlling heat generation due to friction between the impact pin and the holder.
This pin holder 1 of an impact pin 10 to be used for the ultrasonic impact damper has a compressed air introduction orifice 2 for introducing compressed air into the holder 1 from a tip of the pin outside of the pin holder 1, and not less than three axial grooves 6 which communicates with the compressed air introduction orificee 2 and opens circumferentially on the impact pin side and has a compressed air discharge vent opened in the side end part of a vibrator of the ultrasonic impact damper, arranged at an equal interval, in the peripheral direction. Besides, the gross area Se of the compressed air discharge vent for not less than three axial grooves 6 on the side end surface of the vibrator, the clearance area Sc formed between the inner surface of a pin hole 5 and the outer surface of the impact pin 10 and a sectional area Sp of the compressed air introduction orifice 2, are set so as to meet the relationship of SpSe+2Sc and Se2Sc.
