Abstract:
A core-shell impact resistance modifier comprises (parts by weight) (A) 40-90 of core consisting of monomers butadiene, aromatic vinyl, vinyl comonomer, and crosslinking monomer, (B) 5-40 of an inner shell consisting of aromatic vinyl monomer, (meth)acrylate having hydroxyl or alkoxy group, and vinyl comonomer, and (C) 5-20 parts by weight outer shell consisting aromatic vinyl monomer, 1-8C alkyl(meth)acrylate, and vinyl comonomer. A core-shell impact resistance modifier comprises (A) 40-90 parts by weight of core consisting of 30-100 wt.% butadiene monomer, 0-70 wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer, 0-10 wt.% vinyl comonomer, and 0-5 wt.% crosslinking monomer, (B) 5-40 parts by weight of an inner shell consisting of 60-98 wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer, 2-40 wt.% (meth)acrylate having hydroxyl or alkoxy group, and 0-20 wt.% vinyl comonomer, and (C) 5-20 parts by weight outer shell consisting of 10-100 wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer, 0-90 wt.% 1-8C alkyl(meth)acrylate, and 0-50 wt.% vinyl comonomer. An independent claim is also included for a non-crystalline polyester resin composition comprising 1-40 wt.% impact resistance modifier, and 60-99 wt.% non-crystalline polyester.
