Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller capable of efficiently transmitting a pressure while suppressing pressure loss caused by collision of a fluid with blades.SOLUTION: An impeller 10 accommodated in a cascade pump 1 rotatably around a rotating shaft, includes an approximately disc-shaped base 12, and a plurality of blades 20 disposed on an outer peripheral face 14 of the base 12 at prescribed intervals in the rotating direction. A front surface 21 in the rotating direction, of each blade 20 is provided with an inlet curved face 22 formed on a root part for introducing a fluid to a groove space 30 formed with the adjacent blade 20, a pressing plane 26 formed on a tip part vertically to the rotating direction for transmitting a pressure to the fluid in the groove space 30, and a guide curved face 24 for smoothly guiding the fluid flowing into the groove space 30 from the inlet curved face 22 to the pressing plane 26 as an outlet.
