Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect poor insertion of a terminal by inserting a deflection preventive spacer for a terminal detaining arm into a connector housing.

CONSTITUTION: In a connector housing 2, a flexible terminal detaining arm 9 confronting a terminal accommodation chamber 3 is furnished and a connector is installed where a deflection preventive spacer for the terminal detaining arm is inserted into the connector housing from the side opposite the insertion of a terminal 18 which is inserted into the terminal acommodation chamber. In a face-to-face relation with the terminal detaining arm 9, a detaining step part 20 for the terminal 18 is installed recession in the inner wall 35 of the terminal accommodation chamber, and a butt part 17 confronting a protrusion 19 on the terminal detaining arm side of the terminal is installed protrusively in the spacer inserting direction for the deflection preventive spacer 6 in the condition that the terminal 18 is not engaged by the detaining step part.
