Title:
IMPERVIOUS INSTALLATION OF FINAL WASTE DISPOSAL SITE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000093916
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To barrier-treat leachate surely in simple constitution by installing an impervious wall having a water collecting means formed to enclose a housing part for storing waste and a water absorbing means communicating with at least part of the water collecting means in soil in which the housing part is formed.

A housing part 3 for storing waste is formed in soil 2 on a hardly water-impermeable layer 1, and an impervious wall 4 having a water collecting layer 5 is formed to enclose the housing part 3. By applying a negative pressure to the layer 5 through a drain pipe 6, leachate collected in the wall 4 is sucked through the pipe 6 and a valve, sent to an external treatment apparatus 7, and treated. In this way, there is no need for forming numbers of water collecting wells in the soil 2, the leachate in the wall 4 can be sucked easily, and the water collection depth can be set up optionally corresponding to the position of the pipe 6. Therefore, constitution can be made simple, a construction period can be cut so that costs can be reduced correspondingly.
