To provide an implant material on which surface a new bone is formed in a shot time and a method for producing it.
This implant material for a living body has a porous body and hydroxyapatite membrane. The spongiform has a three-dimensional skeletal part whose skeletons are 10 to 800 μm thick and the stoma linking each other which are among the three-dimensional skeletal part and whose diameters are 2 to 800 μm. The half-value width (Ba) of X-ray diffraction peak corresponding to (002) face of hydroxyapatite is 0.17 degree or more when X-ray is radiated to the membrane under the specific condition and the membrane forms on the surface of the spongiform and at least in one part of the surface of the spongiform on the wall of the stoma part. If gaps which are narrower than 10 μm are formed on the membrane, the material surface and bone tissue adhere more closely. Spongiform organized by calcium phosphate series compound is excellent on intravital affinity.
