Title:
IMPLANT WHICH SUBSTITUTES REMOVED CHINQUAPIN BONE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08266564
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer implant for substituting a missing vertebra which has a simple structure and is capable to be implanted quickly and safely. SOLUTION: An implant comprises two elements 1, 2 that can be adjusted and fixed to an axis direction against each. These elements can be engaged from one element to the other by a pattern possible for engaging on an engagement surface, and these elements 1, 2 are composed to make it possible to prevent compressing and to extend thereby. The elements 1, 2 are hollow bodies, an inner surface of the outer element 1 has sawtooth-shaped ring grooves, and the inner element 2 can be interengaged into the outer element 1 by one top end of sawtooth-shaped ribs. The grooves and ribs prevent compressing but make it possible to extend. Axis direction slots 12 are formed on a wall of the inner element 2, slots 8 cooperating with them are formed on a wall of the outer element 1. The elements 1, 2 have openings, a ratchet 7 that is inserted into one of the openings, and a plug with a base.
