Abstract:

To provide an implantation material for cartilage which simply restores a defective part of the cartilage.

The implantation material 1 for the cartilage includes a block-shaped porous body 5 composed of biodegradable polymer porous material and a porous film 4 composed of a biodegradable polymer porous material covering a part of the surface, and in the implantation material 1 for the cartilage, the air hole diameter of the porous film 4 has a size to prohibit passing of a cartilage cell and a mesenchymal stem cell and to allow passing of a bodily liquid. Thus, the defective part C of the cartilage is easily restored without sampling/cultivating the cartilage cell.
