To provide an implement for reading a book in bed which allows a user to read the book, while lying on the bed.

The upper lid of a rectangular solid to which the book is placed in an open state is made to be a transparent board. The board is opened/closed by using hinges and magnets. Both the side surfaces of vertical frames with the hinges and magnets attached thereto include three elongate slits at even intervals. Wire with latches and set screws is disposed over a part between the corresponding slits and fixed from an each outer side so as to hold the book at desired height. Then the book is read in a state where the upper lid is closed.
