This impregnated paper for decorative laminates is obtained by impregnating a sheet of unsized base paper containing an internally added pigment with ≥25wt.% impregnant consisting essentially of a resin comprising 70-95wt.% thermoplastic resin and 5-30wt.% thermosetting resin, then carrying out the smoothing treatment of the resultant impregnated paper, printing and coating the smoothed impregnated paper for the decorative laminates, hot- pressing and bonding the smoothed impregnated paper to a substrate such as a plywood or a particle board with a thermosetting adhesive.
