Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for impregnating oil and fat into a solid feed, capable of increasing the upper limit of the impregnation amount to 35% of the weight of the feed, free from the generation of the addition residue of oil and fat and having excellent economy.
SOLUTION: Air in a solid feed is deaerated under reduced pressure in a closed deaeration tank 3. Oil and fat are uniformly applied to the deaerated solid feed under reduced pressure in a closed mixer 9 by adding heated oil and fat to the solid feed under stirring and mixing the feed. The air in the feed coated with the oil and fat is deaerated under reduced pressure in a closed oil and fat impregnation tank 20. The pressure in the impregnation tank 20 is returned to the atmospheric pressure to effect the complete impregnation of the applied oil and fat into the solid feed by the instantaneous change of the pressure (pressure difference) caused by the return to the atmospheric pressure.
