PURPOSE: To remove dirt from a gap of cement for seaming a groove between tiles and a gap between a floor and threshold by forming a lump with over heat and press on an end of a synthetic resin bristle.
CONSTITUTION: A lump 2 is formed on an end of a bristle 1 by using synthetic resin for fiber portions of a cleaning implement such as brush and broom and pressing the end of the bristle while overheating it. The shape of the formed lump 2 varies with the kind of synthetic resin, overheat temperature and degree of press so that a great variety of the shape and size can be provided. Generally, when the bristle ends are positionally arranged and formed with the same temperature and pressing force, the shape of the lump is nearly uniformed, whereas, when the bristle end is pressed while being vibrated and swung, a force exerted on the bristle end varies with a portion thereof to provide uneven shapes of the lump formed by the overheat and press. In the use of an improved cleaning implement, dirt can be sufficiently removed from a gap between a tile and concrete and fiber portions constituting a carpet.
