The electric switch 28 of a system for detecting a level of a functional fluid reservoir 12 of an automobile braking system comprises two conductive terminals 32, 34 and a first reed valve for forming a dipole electrically connected to the two conductive terminals 32, 34. The reed valve 36 can take two status conditions including open status condition and closed status condition. Each of the status conditions is determined whether the current situation is normal status or exceptional status. The electric switch comprises a second reed valve 36 forming a dipole electrically connected to the two conductive terminals 32, 34. The second reed valve 36 is functionally redundant with the first reed valve 36.
