To provide an improved guide wire which can be easily guided into a blood vessel through a guide port on the femoral region, the brachium, or the wrist, and easily meanders in the blood vessel and hardly miss-enter at a branch.

This guide wire is for peak type angiography or an introducer and has the tip end part comprising a metallic core wire covered with a resin over the surface and folded into a smooth curve. The diameter of the guide wire including the resin layer is 0.46-1.02 mm and the angle between the extended line in the tip end direction and the wire base line is 10-120°.
